This morning workers started installing rubber curbs along the 15th Street bikeway downtown to make the street safer. Over the coming weeks, pedestrian safety improvements will be made and the street will get a dedicated bus lane.

Hundreds of Denver Bicyclists Ride, Remember and Party for Fallen Cyclists
Hundreds of people on bikes gathered near the ballpark last night before riding in the rain to a candlelight vigil held where a driver hit and killed a bicyclist last week. The second cyclist death in as many weeks, the action was part memorial, part protest and also part of an annual celebration when bicyclists put on dresses and ride through the city.

Reckless Driver Kills Grandfather and Bike Advocate Scott Hendrickson
A cyclist was hit and killed by a reckless driver at one of Denver's many unsafe intersections, the first person on a bike killed so far this year. Scott Hendrickson, who was 62, was an energetic and well-liked member of the local bicycle community.
